*Just my personal experience. I can't speak for everyone else.*I've been wanting to create this section for a while, but I hadn't found the right moment. Today, unexpectedly, I found a reason to write
I was at my human residence, lying in bed, when I started feeling my bed move. I was alone, so it couldn't have been Commander Tini
I spent a few seconds trying to figure out what was happening before realizing it might be an earthquake, especially when things around me started moving on their own. I had no idea what to do. I don't even know how long it lasted. I was still trying to figure out my next move when BOOM, the power went out
Some transformer must've blown, leaving the entire neighborhood without electricity. The water was gone too, and the phone signal went on sabbatical
That snapped me out of it, and I ran outside. Everything was even stranger out there. I couldn't make out what was going on around me, where all the noise was coming from, or what people were saying
At that point, I wasn't even sure if something was really happening or if the unbearable heat was just messing with me.
The first instinct is to contact your trusted human, but what are you supposed to do when the phone lines go down?
So many things were happening in such a short amount of time. A worried mother who couldn't get in touch with her teenage daughter, dogs barking, car horns blaring, people crying on the other end of phone calls, missed calls. I didn't even know what to think anymore
I'd never experienced an earthquake before, so this was a first for me. The whole thing felt really strange. I wouldn't say it was that intense where I was, but the weirdest part was that I kept feeling like my body was still moving for the rest of the day, even after everything had seemingly stopped
